SAMSUNG Printer Recognized as the Best Printer in Latin America

Seoul, Korea, November 10, 2005 : Samsung Electronics
Co., Ltd., the sole printer manufacturer in South Korea, was granted the
Best Product Awards in the printer category in awards sponsored by Latin
America’s two most authoritative IT magazines, PC World Latin America
Awards and Channel Awards.

PC World Latin America Awards, which identifies a number of digital products
based on their innovative technology and creative design, is the most
respected annual awards ceremony in Central and South America. This year,
the Samsung printer (Model: ML-2251N) received an exceptional review for
its advanced technology and creative technical development and was awarded
this year’s Best Office Printer Award. In addition, Samsung Electronics
received the Digital World Award given to the leading digital enterprise
and the best IT brand.

In addition, Samsung Printer (Model: ML-1610) accepted the Best Product
Award of 2005 in the printer category, given by the next leading IT awards,
Channel Awards. Channel Awards is sponsored by Central and South America’s
top five IT magazines, including Compu-Channel magazine, and significantly
impacts numerous IT enterprises worldwide.

Mr. Jong-Won Park, the head of Samsung Electronics Central and South American
operations said, “It is very meaningful that Samsung only took three years
to be awarded the Best Product Award over prominent competing brands since
entering the Latin American market. Samsung Printer’s high quality is
already well-recognized in US and European markets and now Samsung’s dedication
to quality has been reconfirmed in Latin America.”
Mr. Park added, “Samsung’s continuous initiative to expand the market
by offering hands-on experience has enabled our printer to be chosen as
the best out there. One major example would be Brazil’s brand shop, which
invited clients and consumers to benefit from Samsung’s digital products
exhibition. Moreover, we provided photographing and photo printing service
to patrons. All of these marketing efforts have provided us an opportunity
to get closer to our customers in Latin America.”
Samsung printer has also been selected as the best printer of 2004 in
China and Europe, and chosen as the “Choice Product of the Year 2005”
by the Ukraine Government this year.
