Looks Great, Sounds Even Better: SAMSUNG Takes Home Theater In A Box To A Sleek And Sexy New Level

Las Vegas, NV - Samsung, a leader in the Home Theater in a Box (HTiB) market, introduces the 100 series Home Theater in a Box systems. These top-end HTiBs match impressive performance with gorgeous aesthetics and coveted features such as a high-power subwoofer, multimedia playback, USB Plug & Play support, and two exquisite color choices: pearl white or piano black. Samsung's inspired new DVD HTiB line will be on display during CES 2006 in the Samsung booth #11033 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at CES from January 5th - 8th.

Samsung's newest HTiB systems incorporate an integrated DVD player/receiver and powerful sub-woofer-based surround sound system to transform any living room into a fully-functioning digital multimedia entertainment center. The progressive-scan DVD player supports multimedia files including DivX, MP3, DVD Audio, WMA, CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW. They also display JPEGs so users can view photos burned to CD from digital cameras in their living rooms instead of huddling around a monitor. MP3 aficionados will love the USB host Plug & Play capability, which allows MP3 players to be attached to the system so stored music files can be enjoyed by all in the room.

"Samsung's award-winning designers really married both form and function with the new 100 Series HTiB systems," said Bill Hadam, Senior Manager, Digital Audio, Samsung Electronics America. "The 100 Series offers not only superb sound and industry-leading features but a new gorgeous design that perfectly complements Samsung's eye-catching flat-panel televisions."

The superior 1000W audio CD playback (150W x 5ch + 250W sub) will give audiophiles a smile. The Separately powered subwoofer provides a big bottom bass sound that will astound.

The HT-XQ120 offers both HDMI input and output. The HDMI input facilitates the future addition of STB, video game, or other HDMI equipped device. HDTV owners will appreciate the Farudja DCDI up-scale feature so that they can view their favorite DVD's in near HD resolutions up to 720p or 1080i.
