Samsung Electronics Develops the World's First OneDRAM

On December 13, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that it has developed the world’s first OneDRAM. As the second fusion memory following the world-first fusion memory OneNAND, the new OneDRAM is the user-friendly fusion memory where a mobile DRAM and a SRAM are combined into one chip.

- Samsung’s new OneDRAM serves as a core part of the system, expanding its existing supportive role of CPU.

- Samsung’s new OneDRAM minimizes the data transmission speed between two CPUs providing communication and media functions to achieve the maximum saving effects in space, cost, and power.

- Samsung has obtained total 24 related technology patents, expecting USD2.5 billion of new markets will be created for the next five years by 2011.
