Samsung Electronics Develops the World’s First 1Gb Mobile DRAM

On December 27, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that it has developed the world’s first 1Gb Mobile DRAM. The new Mobile DRAM is a memory applicable to mobile devices with its high capacity, ultra-small size, and low power consumption. The new 1Gb Mobile DRAM is 20% thinner than the existing DRAM products, while consuming 30% less power.

- Samsung is expected to expand its market share with its new 1Gb Mobile DRAM, as the high-capacity Mobile DRAM market will grow in 2007.

- Samsung is strengthening its sales diversification efforts through securing various applications of DRAM products.
