SAIT Develops Technology for Personal Secretarial Service Based on Voice Recognition

SAIT is in the process of develpoping a wafer thin, no power external power required micro cooling system based on MEMS( Micro-Electro-Mechanical System ) technology. The unique Telmetellme service (http://telmetellme.com) acts as a personal on-line secretary with voice recognition capability. To use this service, one must first contact the Web site and submit a subscription. Then a personal identification number is registered for access by telephone. Subscribers anywhere in Korea can dial 1588-0852, log in their personal ID number and receive the Telmetellme service. This service is accessible via a wireless handset, conventional telephone or on-line connection. Subscribers receive a wealth of handy information for daily life by visiting the Web site such as an address directory, e-mail, voice memos, scheduler, and customized news reports. They can call their personal on-line secretary, with computer-generated voice, on the phone and activate the service with voice commands. Telmetellme service users can check their e-mail, voice memos and schedule through their wired or wireless telephones. They can also use the address directory to locate people and then send them a voice mail message. Conventional automatic response systems require the user to listen to explanations of each service function then press the right button in a mechanical procedure. By contrast, Telmetellme allows the user to indicate what he or she wants with voice commands, making this a much more people-friendly system that works under all conditions. Telmetellme is being offered to the public from March. By April, support for public institutions, general customers and message transmission services will all be available. Not only is individual information management possible, but couples, companies, associations and other groups will be able to share the schedule management function. Customer support for e-commerce transactions will also be provided by this revolutionary service concept. In the future, a Web site using image recognition technology will offer unique services. Plans also call for expanding into a "smart" on-line service that can understand the preferences and characteristics of individual users.
