SAMSUNG Olympic Games Phone

SYDNEY, Australia - September 5, 2000 - To commemorate Samsung's Wireless Communications Partnership for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Samsung has launched a special-edition Olympic Games Phone. Available in two models - SGH-2400 (GSM) and SCH-620 (CDMA) - the phones are highly functional, feature a slim, well-crafted design and weigh only 90 grams. Officials, athletes, spectators and media are using Samsung Olympic Games Phones in Sydney as part of some 25,000 units of wireless communications equipment that are being supported by Samsung Electronics. Limited number of these official Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Phones are also available for consumers during the Games at selected countries all over the world. The SGH-2400 flip/design phone is aimed at the young business generation of mobile phone users. It provides innovative design along with advanced features and a variety of accessories. This GSM phone supports a large five-line, easy-to-read Graphic LCD with four a-numeric lines and one icon line. Some of the many features include PC synchronization, voicemail service, data transmission, vibrating alert and a selection of 19 ring tones to choose from. The compact and a feature-rich SCH-620 CDMA mobile phone offers an easy-to-view LCD display with multiple, advanced features and language options. It is an ultra/thin, portable design that weighs only 90 grams with a slim battery. With many convenient call features, users can take advantage of voice-activated dialing, voice recording, call forwarding, caller ID and three-way calling.
