SAMSUNG’S Information Technology Division Names John Johasky Vice President Of Marketing

Irvine, CA -- Samsung, a leader and innovator in Information Technology products, announces that John Johasky has joined its Information Technology Division (ITD) as Vice President of Marketing. Johasky comes to Samsung with numerous years of experience and expertise in the Information Technology sector.
Johasky is responsible for the strategic marketing direction, implementation and execution for Samsung’s IT commercial and retail channels in the U.S. He oversees the marketing leadership of Samsung’s award-winning IT product lines, which include SyncMaster&#trade; computer monitors, professional market plasma and LCD displays, color and monochrome laser printers and multifunction products.

Johasky comes to Samsung with nearly 25 years of sales and marketing experience. He most recently held the title of Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at the Equitrac Corporation. In this role, Johasky was responsible for the worldwide direct sales and marketing initiatives into the legal market and indirect sales into the commercial, education and government markets. Before joining the Equitrac Corporation, Johasky spent 12 years with Lexmark International in a number of executive marketing and sales positions. With Lexmark International, Johasky held key roles as Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, PS & SD, where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic product, solution, software, and services marketing for the Printing Solutions and Services Division. Johasky was also the President, Lexmark Canada, Inc., where he was responsible for the overall entity with profit and loss responsibility for four divisions and the consolidated company performance. In addition, Johasky was U.S. Director of Education & Government Sales and Marketing, among other titles. Prior to his work at Lexmark International, Johasky spent ten years with International Business Machines in various sales and marketing positions.
