How Do I Use Voice Dial On My SCH-I910 (Omnia) Phone?
Microsoft® Voice Command™ is advanced speech recognition software that allows users to speak commands to perform common functions supported by the SCH-I910 (Omnia) handset. There is no voice training required to use the voice command feature. Speak contact names or phone numbers naturally to dial, and use voice commands to launch applications and navigate phone menus.
Important: Voice Command MUST be enabled prior to initiating a voice command session
Note: Only talk when the microphone icon is displayed
To initiate a Voice Command session follow the steps below:
When it recognizes one of these commands, the SCH-I910 (Omnia) handset launches the associated application. If the phone does not hear a command within approximately eight seconds, it deactivates voice recognition without taking any action.
Note: If a name has only a single number, or if you know the name but are not sure which number to call, say “Call” followed by the name only. For example, say “Call John.” If the name is recognized and there is only one number for the name, Voice Command immediately places the call. If there are multiple numbers stored for the contact, the phone prompts you with “Call John” then announces and displays a list of options. Simply select an option by saying it into the handset microphone.
