Tablet PCs: How Do I Access And Navigate The BIOS?

Important: Be careful when changing any settings in the BIOS. Incorrect settings can cause your PC to malfunction or crash. Please make sure all important data is backed up before changing anything in the BIOS.

There are two ways to access the BIOS on the Series 7 Slate; plug in a USB keyboard and press F2 while booting, or use the physical buttons. To access the PC’s BIOS with the physical buttons, follow these steps:

1. While holding down the Windows button located on the bottom edge of the screen, press the power button.
2. Continue to hold the Windows button down until the BIOS appears.
3. To navigate through the BIOS:
• Press the Up/Down Volume buttons to navigate up and down.
• Hold the Rotation Lock button down (located beneath the Power button) and press the Up/Down Volume buttons to navigate left and right.
• Press the Orientation Lock button to select items.
