How Do I Delete All Of My Personal Information From My SCH-U650 (Sway) Phone?

To remove personal information from the handset, simply restore the handset to the factory default settings. However, you may want to move all pictures, videos, ringtones, music and sounds to a microSD™ memory card before restoring the handset. Note: Locked items cannot be moved to the memory card

  • Move Content to a MicroSD Card

    To move all pictures, videos, ringtones, music and sounds to a memory card, follow the steps below:

    1. Insert a formatted microSD memory card into the memory card slot.
    2. From the standby screen, press the OK button for Menu.
    3. Select Memory (9).
    4. Select Phone Memory (2).
    5. Select Move All To Card (7).
    6. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys.
    7. Press the OK button to confirm moving all pictures, videos, ringtones, music and sounds to the memory card.
  • Restore the Handset

    Restoring the handset will permanently Delete All Data, including Contacts.

    To restore the handset to the factory default settings, follow the steps below:

    1. While in standby mode, press the OK button for Menu.
    2. Select Settings & Tools (9).
    3. Select Phone Settings (6).
    4. Select Security (6).
    5. Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed.
    6. Select Restore Phone (5).
    7. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys.
    8. Press the OK button to confirm resetting the handset.
    9. Press the OK button at the re-program the phone screen.
    10. Enter the lock code again, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed.
    11. Press the OK button to confirm restoring the handset to the factory default settings.

    Note: Press *228 and SEND after the power cycle to re-program the phone.
