How Do I Find The Device Information Including The MAC Address On My US Cellular SCH-i800 ?
The Media Access Control (MAC) address is a unique hardware identifier used when connecting to a network. Under most security schemas, the MAC information is not needed to allow a connection to the wireless access point. For networks with increased security, the router may be configured to allow for specific MAC filtering. If this filtering is enabled, the device will be unable to connect until the admin adds the unique MAC address to the exception list.
Locate the MAC
- Press the Home key
- Press the Menu key
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Wireless and network
- Tap on Wi-Fi settings
- Tap on Wi-Fi to turn on the radio if not enable.
NOTE: When the Wi-Fi radio is turned on, you will see either a or in the status bar.
- Press the Menu key and tap on Advanced
- The MAC address is displayed.
