What Kind Of Paper Can I Use In A Samsung Laser Printer?

Samsung printers have specific paper (media) types that can be used, but these vary depending on the printer model. For a list of recommended paper for your printer model, including Envelopes, Labels, Card Stock, Transparencies, and Glossy Paper, please refer to your user's manual. If you don't have your user's manual handy, follow the steps below to find the information for your model of printer. Important: We recommend very strongly against using heavy, glossy paper in any Samsung Printer. Most printers support 16 to 24 lb. paper in the main tray and 16 to 43 lb. paper in the manual tray. Heavy, glossy paper can cause internal damage to your printer which can void your printer’s warranty.

      • To make finding paper specifications for your printer easier and to avoid having to look through the entire manual, follow the steps below to find the section of your manual on paper sizes. We have two kinds of manuals available, HTM manuals you can read in your browser and Adobe PDFs you can read in your browser and also download and print. Instructions for finding the paper specifications for each format of manual are below.

    3. Scroll down past "General specifications" at the top to "Print media specifications" in the middle of the page. This section shows all the information about the types of paper your printer can use (see animation below).

The "Print Media Specifications" section of your manual has a chart showing the formats of paper (media) that are compatible with your printer, such as Plain paper (Letter, Legal, US Folio, etc.), Envelope, Transparency, Card stock, and Labels. This chart gives details such as paper type, size, dimensions, and whether the paper can be put in the tray or needs to be placed in the manual feeder.
