How Do I Transfer Pictures or Videos Between My US Cellular SCH-R520 (Trill) Phone And My Computer?

Pictures can be transferred to a PC by via a compatible USB data cable, sending a picture message to an e-mail address, copying pictures to a memory card or sending a picture via the Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile). Click any method below to view those instructions.

  • USB Cable

    Do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the handset while data is being accessed or transferred. This could result in loss of data and/or damage to the memory card or to the handset.

    To move or copy a picture using a compatible USB cable follow the steps below:

      1. Copy the picture to the microsSD memory card
      2. Set the PC connection setting to USB
      3. Connect the compatible USB cable to both the handset's Power/Accessory Connector and to a USB port on the PC
      4. The handset will now display "Connected to PC"
      5. When the new Removable Disk box appears, double click on "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer"
      6. Double click on the My_Images folder to view the contents
      7. Drag n drop or copy & paste the picture into the destination folder located on the PC
      8. Press the left soft key for Done
      9. Disconnect the USB cable from both the handset & PC
  • Picture Message

    To send a Picture Message, to anyone with a compatible device, follow the steps below:

    1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Message
    2. Select Send Message (1)
    3. Select Picture Message (2)
    4. Press the right soft key for add
    5. Select desired recipients from the following:
      • Contacts (1)
        • Press the OK button to Mark or check the boxes of recipients
        • Press the left soft key for Done
      • Groups (2)
        • Select the group to add a recipient
        • Press the OK button to Mark or check the boxes of recipients
        • Press the left soft key for Done
      • Recent Calls (3)
        • Press the OK button to Mark or check the boxes of recipients
        • Press the left soft key for Done
      • Online Albums (4)
        • For recipients saved to your account on service providers network
    6. When all recipients have been added press the OK button
    7. Enter Subject text, using the keypad
    8. Enter Message text, using the keypad
    9. Highlight the PIC: area then press the left soft key for My Pic
    10. Highlight desired image to send, using the navigation keys
    11. Press the OK button to add the image to message
    12. Press the left soft key for Sounds, to add sound, if desired
    13. Highlight the desired sound, using the navigation keys, or select Record New (1) to record a voice memo
    14. Press the OK button to add the Sound to the Picture Message
    15. Press the OK button to Send the Picture Message to recipients

    Tip: You can send a Picture Message to up to ten recipients

  • Memory Card

    The plug-in microSD memory card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending.  Use caution, do not force the card when inserting or removing and keep all memory cards out of reach of children.

    To move pictures to a microSD memory card follow the steps below:

      1. Open the memory card socket cover, located on the lower left side of the handset
      2. Insert a formatted microSD memory card, into the memory card socket, until locked in place
      3. Close the memory card socket cover

         

      4. From the standby screen, press the Menu/OK key for Menu
      5. Select Multimedia (7)
      6. Select Picture (3)
      7. Highlight desired image, using the navigation keys
      8. Press the right soft key for Options
      9. Select Move (4)
      10. Press the left soft key for Yes to Move the Photo to the microSD memory card
  • Bluetooth FTP

    Both Bluetooth devices MUST support Bluetooth FTP (File Transfer Profile)

    To transfer (via a Bluetooth adaptor) Photo files, from the Samsung SCH-R520 (Trill) phone, to a PC follow the steps below:

    On the Samsung SCH-R520 (Trill) phone

      1. While in standby mode, turn Bluetooth On
      2. Change the phone’s Bluetooth visibility to On

    On the PC

      1. Connect the Bluetooth adaptor to the PC’s USB port
      2. Search for Bluetooth devices
      3. Select the device to pair with the PC
      4. Exchange PIN code(s) on both the PC & phone to pair devices (default pass code is “0000”)
      5. Using My Bluetooth Places, select File Transfer to view the phone’s contents
      6. Copy the desired Photo file
      7. Paste the file in a PC destination
