How do I insert or remove the microSD™ card in my U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S® Aviator™?

Your device lets you use a microSD™ (SD) or microSDHC™ card to expand available memory space. This secure digital card enables you to exchange images, music, and data among SD-compatible devices.

  • Insert a microSD™ Card

Make sure the microSD's gold contact pins face downward and the card is securely inserted.

    1. Remove the back cover by inserting a fingernail or pointed object into the slot on the bottom side of your phone.
    2. Lift the cover up and away from the phone.
    3. Push the microSD card into the slot until it clicks.
    4. By default, your mobile device should mount the microSD card automatically. If it does not, you can manually mount the card by opening Settings > SD card & phone storage > Mount SD card. This will ready the card for use as a storage location on your device.
  • Remove the microSD™ Card
    1. Unmount the microSD card first. Touch the Applications icon and scroll to and touch Settings. Then scroll to and touch SD card & phone storage. To prepare the card for safe removal, touch Unmount SD card.
    2. Remove the back cover by inserting a fingernail or pointed object into the slot on the bottom side of your phone.
    3. Lift the cover up and away from the phone.
    4. Push on the memory card until it clicks and is released.
    5. Grasp the memory card and remove it from the phone.
