Can I Use a Music File as a Ringtone on my Samsung Galaxy Note II?

Your device can add a music file, such as an MP3, as a ringtone.

Set a Ringtone

To set the music file as a ringtone, from the Home screen, touch Menu  > Settings  > My device  > Sound  . Touch Ringtones, and then touch Add at the bottom of the screen. Double-touch Sound picker, and locate the music file you wish to use. Touch Done to set the ringtone.

Assign a Personal Ringtone

To assign a personal ringtone to a contact on your mobile device, open the desired contact and touch Default under Ringtone. You can select one of the preloaded ringtones by touching it in the list, or add a personal ringtone from the sounds stored on your device by touching Add. Quickly double-touch Sound picker, and locate the music file you wish to use. Touch Done.

Note: Touch the filename to preview the music file, and touch it again to pause.
