How do I Import Photos and Videos from my computer or Samsung device into Kies 2.6?

You can import photos and videos stored on your computer into your Kies 2.6 library. For this example, we will guide you through importing photos.

Kies 2.6 is only available for use on a Windows® platform.

  • Import Photos and Videos

You can add an entire folder from your computer to your library by clicking File > Add folder to Library. On a Mac®, this option is Add file to Library. Browse to the folder and click Open folder. All supported media files stored in the folder will be added to the library you are viewing.

    1. Connect your device to your computer.

    2. Click Photos below Library in the left panel.

    3. Click  at the top of the Photos library screen.

    4. Browse to the location of the photos you want to export from your computer. Select the photos you want added, and click Open.

  • Save Photos from Your Device to Kies
    1. Click Photos below your device's name in the left panel.

    2. If necessary, click  to switch to list view.

    3. Mark the checkboxes next to the photos you want to save to your Kies library.

    4. Click  to save the selected photos to your Kies library.
  • Drag and Drop Photos

You can also use the drag-and-drop method to move photos to your device or computer from a connected device.

    1. Open the location you want to transfer photos from.

    2. Click a photo to select it. You can select multiple photos by marking each with a check mark.

    3. Click and drag the photos to the target location in the left panel, and release them.

Note: If you are dragging photos to a device with more than one storage location (an optional microSD™ card, for example), you may be asked where you want to save the files. Select the desired option and click OK.
