If you purchase the Samsung Protection Plan after you purchased your Samsung product, but while still under your warranty or another Samsung backed extended service plan, the Samsung Protection Plus plan will begin the day after the coverage expires. If you purchase outside of warranty or service plan coverage, you may be subject to a 30-day waiting period before you can file a claim.
