xvYCC (Extended-gamut YCC) is a new color space (color range) standard for televisions, computer monitors, digital camcorders and cameras, etc. xvYCC supports up to 1.8 times more colors than the current standard.
Starting in 2007 a few Samsung LCD, DLP, and Plasma TVs are capable of displaying the xvYCC color space and provide a control that lets you turn the xvYCC capability on and off. Since 2007 all Samsung TV's support the xvYCC color space. If you have your TV connected to an external source such as a DVD player through the HDMI or Component In jacks, setting the xvYCC mode to On can increase the detail and color range of the displayed movie.
Note: xvYCCC only works with components connected through the HDMI or Component In jacks.
All TVs after 2007 have the xvYCC capability.
