How Do I Use Key Guard Or Key Lock On My SPH-M550 (Exclaim) Phone?
The SPH-M550 (Exclaim) handset features five different type of locks. The Auto Keyguard, Phone Lock, Picture/Video Lock, Contacts Lock and the Voice Services Lock. To view the step by step instructions, simply click on any of the lock methods below:
To enable or disable the Auto Keyguard follow the steps below:
To unlock the keys simply press the down navigation key then press the Back key. The keys will automatically lock after a period of approximately 30 seconds.
Locking the phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to 911 emergency, Sprint Customer Service and the three user-programmable special numbers. You can lock the phone manually, or set the phone to lock automatically when it is turned on. With the phone in lock mode, you can still answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the phone to place outgoing calls (except to 911 emergency, Sprint Customer Service and the three user-programmable special numbers). Phone Lock also restricts access to camera/camcorder and the Volume keys.
To lock the phone follow the steps below:
Unlock: To unlock the phone simply press the left soft key then enter the lock code
The picture/video lock prevents the accidental taking of picures by requiring a code to be entered. This lock also disables the ability to view or delete any pictures or videos without first entering the user lock code.
To enable or disable the picture/video lock follow the steps below:
Locking contacts disables the ability to add new contacts and to edit or delete contacts.
To lock or unlock the contacts follow the steps below:
Locking all voice services disables the ability to receive any incoming calls or place any outgoing calls (except to 911).
