How Do I Use Voice Dial On My SPH-Z400?
VAD (Voice Activity Detection) voice recognition is advanced speech recognition software that allows you to say commands to perform common functions supported by the SPH-Z400 handset. There is no voice training required to use the voice recognition feature. Speak names or phone numbers naturally to dial, and use voice commands to launch applications and navigate phone menus.
Note: VAD recognizes the digits one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and zero or oh. It does not recognize numbers such as “one eight hundred” for “1-800.” Instead, say “one-eight zero- zero.”
To initiate a VAD session follow the steps below:
Note: If a name has only a single number, or if you know the name but are not sure which number to call, say “Call” followed by the name only. For example, say “Call John.” If the name is recognized and there is only one number for the name, VAD immediately places the call. If there are multiple numbers stored for the contact, the phone prompts you with “Which Number?” and displays a list of options. You can select an option by saying it.
