Tip: Press the ALT key to enter the upper case characters and/or press & hold the SYM key to quickly enter Symbols mode
Note: To switch the following case modes briefly press the pound (#) key
T9 (English) Mode
The T9 mode allows you to enter words with only one keystroke per letter. Each key on the keypad has more than one letter; for example, pressing the 5 key can enter J, K, or L. The T9 mode automatically compares the series of keystrokes you make with an internal linguistic dictionary to determine the most likely word, thus requiring far fewer keystrokes than the traditional Alphabet mode.
Note: If more than one word shares the same numeric sequence (such as, “263” for both “and” & “cod”), T9 Word provides the most commonly used word first (such as, “and” for “263”). Press the down navigation key to display other words, if any are available.
This mode allows you to enter letters by pressing the key labeled with the letter you want. Press the keypad letter once then press the down navigation key to display additonal characters for the key. Press the OK button to select the character.
This mode allows you to enter the numbers on the keypad
This mode allows you to enter symbols, such as punctuation marks, periods, exclamation marks, etc.
