How Do I Use Voice Dial On My SGH-t539 (Beat)?
Voice Command is advanced speech recognition software that can be used to activate a wide-variety of functions on the SGH-t539 (Beat) handset. No pre-recording or training needed. Speak a contact name naturally to dial, and use your voice to look up contacts, launch applications and navigate phone menus. Only 200 phonebook contacts can be voice activated through Voice Command. If you do not specify which contacts are to be voice-activated, Voice Command will, by default, select the first 200 based on alphabetical order. Note: If you have entered a contact name in all upper case letters (such as "JOHN"), the voice recognition software will NOT recognize if you pronounce the name, it will only be recognized as J-O-H-N (letter by letter).
To initiate a VoiceSignal session follow the steps below:
Voice dialing works well for most people without special adaptation. However, people with strong accents or unique voice characteristics may receive better results if they follow these tips:
When it recognizes one of these commands, the SGH-t539 (Beat) handset launches the associated application. If the phone does not hear a voice command within approximately eight seconds, it deactivates Voice Command voice recognition without taking any action.
Note: If a name has only a single number, or if you know the name but are not sure which number to call, say “Call” followed by the name only. For example, say “Call John.” If the name is recognized and there is only one number for the name, Voice Command immediately places the call. If there are multiple numbers stored for the contact, the phone prompts you with “Which Number?” and displays a list of options. You can select an option by saying it or by using your keypad.
