Does My SCH-U550 Support Voice Dialing?
Yes, the voice command feature, VAD (Voice Activity Detection), lets you initiate voice dial phone calls by speaking someone’s name or the digits of their phone number. Once you have stored contact phone numbers in the SCH-U550 handset contact list, you can initiate a VAD session to any contact saved in the contact list. VAD software automatically voice activates all contacts for voice dialing and searching, no pre-recording or training needed.
Note: VAD recognizes the digits one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and zero or oh. The handset does not recognize numbers such as “one eight hundred” for “1-800.” Instead, say “one-eight-zero-zero.”
