How Do I Change Text Input Modes On My Helio SPH-A523 (Mysto)?
The right soft key functions as the Text Input Mode button. Press it to switch the key entry functions from T9 Mode, Alphabet Mode, Numeric Mode and Korean Mode. To enter Symbols Mode press the left soft touch key for Menu then select Insert Symbol (1).
The T9 mode allows you to enter words with only one keystroke per letter. Each key on the keypad has more than one letter; for example, pressing the 5 key can enter J, K, or L. The T9 mode automatically compares the series of keystrokes you make with an internal linguistic dictionary to determine the most likely word, thus requiring far fewer keystrokes than the traditional Alphabet mode. Press the asterisk key to switch from the alphabet modes below:
Note: If more than one word shares the same numeric sequence (such as, “263” for both “and” and “cod”), T9 Word Mode provides the most commonly used word (such as, “and” for “263”). Press the key to display other words, if any are available.
This mode allows you to enter letters by pressing the key labeled with the letter you want. Press the keypad letter once, twice, three, or four times until it displays. Press the asterisk key to switch from the alphabet modes below:
