How Do I Use Voice Dialing On My Generic CDMA SCH-R580 Phone When Using A Bluetooth Headset?
Nuance voice recognition is advanced speech recognition software that allows you to speak commands to perform common functions supported by the US Cellular SCH-R580 handset. There is no voice training required to use the voice recognition feature. Speak phone numbers naturally to dial, and use voice commands to launch applications and navigate phone menus.
Note: Nuance recognizes the digits one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and zero or oh. The phone does not recognize numbers such as “one eight hundred” for “1-800.” Instead, say “one-eight zero- zero.”
To initiate a Nuance session, with a Bluetooth headset, follow the steps below:
When it recognizes one of these commands, the US Cellular SCH-R580 handset launches the associated application. If the phone does not hear a command within approximately eight seconds, it deactivates voice recognition without taking any action.
Note: If a name has only a single number, or if you know the name but are not sure which number to call, say “Call” followed by the name only. For example, say “Call John.” If the name is recognized and there is only one number for the name, Nuance immediately places the call. If there are multiple numbers stored for the contact, the phone prompts you with “Which Number?” and displays a list of options. You can select an option by saying it or by using your keypad.
