How Do I Use Key Guard Or Key Lock On My Cricket SCH-R450 (Messager) Phone?
The handset's Key Lock feature, when enabled, prevents inadvertent calls from being made by accidentally pressing any of the handset's keypad buttons. With the Auto Key Lock set to On, the phone automatically disables the keys when the screen backlight goes out. The Phone Lock blocks all outgoing calls except those to 911 and to the three user-programmed emergency numbers. You can lock the phone manually, or set the phone to lock automatically when turned on. In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place calls (except to emergency numbers).
Auto Key Lock
To enable or disable the Auto Key Lock feature follow the steps below:
Note: To Unlock the Keypad: Press the left soft key for Unlock then press the asterisk (*) key until the "Keypad is Unlocked" message is displayed
Important!: If you change the NAM1 setting after setting the phone to lock upon power-up and did not program a number into NAM2, you won’t be able to access your phone. You must call the Cricket Service Center to unlock your phone.
To enable, change or delete the phone lock setting follow the steps below:
