ICC color profiles control how colors look on your monitor. When you select an ICC profile, you first associate it with your monitor, and then, if you choose, make it the default profile. You can associate more than one ICC color profile with your monitor, but only one profile at a time can be the default profile.
To select a default ICC color profile for your monitor in Windows, follow these steps:
Note: If you have installed the drivers for your monitor, you will see an ICC profile for your monitor in the list. It will look something like sm171v. There will also be several dozen standard ICC profiles including AdobeRGB1998, sRGB Color Space Profile, CIERGB and WideGamutRGB. You can select your monitor's ICC profile or one of the standard profiles. In essence, choose the profile that you think looks best. Also, be aware that some of the profiles listed are printer profiles which can not be used by your monitor.
Note: You can associate additional profiles to your monitor by repeating steps 6 and 7.
