Can I Customize The Default Shortcut Keys On My SGH-A877 (Impression) Phone?
Although the SGH-A877 (Impression) handset does not feature traditional navigation key shortcuts, the handset's Multitask Menu and Widget Bar both provide quick access to the items you use most frequently. Click on any one of the subjects below to go directly to those instructions explained on this page.
The Multitask button , located on the upper left side, launches the multitask menu. This unchangeable menu provides quick access to some of the most commonly used features, such as: Call, Music Player, Games and Apps, MEdia Net, and Messaging.
The Widget Bar is a pane on the left side of the display screen that stores userselected mini-applications and keeps them organized and always accessible. The Widget Bar provides quick access to the items you use most frequently The Widget bar provides quick access to those functions you use most frequently (Analog Clock, Digital Clock, Dual Clock, Top Five, Contact Favorites, AT&T GPS, MEdia Mall, MEdia Net, Today, Calendar, Favorites, Photo, Birthday, Sound Profile, Bluetooth, Alarm, Calculator, Music Player, Event, and Yahoo Search).
Tip: Although not listed in the Widget list, the Music Player, Alarm and Event are preloaded widgets within the Widget Bar.
To select which items are displayed or hidden within the Widget Bar follow the steps below:
The Widget Bar can contain up to nineteen widgets, but can only display six widget icons at one time.
To view more widgets: Flick the screen in an upward motion to quickly scroll through the list.
You can also customize the Widget Bar by arranging the location of your current widgets. This can help you place your frequently used (favorite) widgets at the top of the list.
To rearrange widgets follow the steps below:
Certain menus allow you to move (drag and drop) an application onto the Main display screen or other object. For example, you can drag the Music Player from the Widget Bar onto the Main display screen using the drag and drop feature.
