How Do I Use The Key Guard Or Key Lock On My SGH-A687 (Strive) Phone?
The SGH-A687 has a built in Auto Locking prompt concept when slide is closed. From an open position, closing the slide will trigger a prompt asking to Lock Keypad.
Press Yes to lock
Press No to remain unlocked
If no response is provided, the handset will enter a locked state.
The handset also features three other different lock features (Phone Lock, SIM Lock and Application Lock), all described below:
In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place outgoing calls (except to emergency numbers). The phone locks automatically the next time it is powered on and stays locked until you enter the correct lock code.
Application Lock will restrict access to all phone application menus, except the My Menu shorcuts. Once you have locked the applications, you must enter the correct lock code to access the associated menus.
Please contact your service provider for more information about any of these lock features. Service Provider Contact Information
