How Do I Use Key Guard Or Key Lock On My SGH-x427?
There is no key lock option on flip phones as the phone is protected from inadvertent keystrokes as the flip is closed. This prevents accidental pressing of keys while in a pocket, handbag or similar location.
However, there is an option called "Phone Lock" which will password protect the phone but this does require the use of a password each time the phone is utilized. This will prevent unauthorized use of the handset as the password must be known in order to make a call.
To configure this option, while in standby,
The password for this feature is 8 digits. By Default, the password is 8 zeros (00000000). The password can be changed, however, be aware that should the password be forgotten or should fail in the future, the phone would need to be flashed to regain use. Make certain it is changed to something that is not easily forgotten.
