The Motions and gestures settings let you control your device with natural movements of the device or by moving or touching the screen.
To access Motions and gestures settings, from the Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Motions and gestures . There are five different types of gestures. Touch a gesture for a quick tutorial on how to use it, and then touch the slider for the gesture to turn it on .
The proximity and gesture sensors are at the top-right corner above the screen. The sensors recognize gestures when you make smooth, steady movements up to three inches above the sensors.
Place a check mark next to Turning device over to set your device to mute incoming calls or media playback when you turn your device over.
