The Sound settings menu lets you control your mobile device's audio, from ringtones and alerts to touch-tones and notifications.
To turn on Mute, press the Volume down key until you see in the status bar. To turn off Mute, press the Volume up key repeatedly to select a volume level.
To turn on Vibrate mode, press the Volume down key until you see in the status bar.
To access the Sound settings menu, from the Home screen, touch Menu > Settings > My device > Sound .
Adjust the volume settings to suit your needs and your environment.
Note: You can adjust the ringtone volume in normal mode (or the earpiece volume during a call) by using the Volume keys on the left side of your device.
To adjust your mobile device's vibrate feature, touch Vibrations and select Basic call, Heartbeat, Jinglebell, Ticktock, Waltz, or Zig-zig-zig.
Ringtones help you identify incoming calls and messages.
Your mobile device provides a variety of ringtones that let you customize the way your device will sound when you receive incoming calls or notifications.
You can add ringtones from the music files stored on your device.
The Notification Panel displays icons associated with user notifications such as email messages, missed calls, voicemail messages, upcoming events, USB connections, and text and multimedia messages. You can select the ringtone that plays when your device receives new notifications.
