To get the most out of your gaming experience, here are some simple tips to ensure the best performance:
Your game will list the minimum specs your PC must meet in order to be able to play it. To verify the specs of your PC and ensure it meets the minimum requirements of your game, follow the steps below.
For your game to run smoothly and display the best level of clarity, set the Power Option to High Performance. To set your power option to High Performance, follow the steps below.
Note: It is highly recommended, when using the High Performance power option, that your PC is plugged in.
Note: In Windows 8.1, you do not need to select Settings. Skip to Step 3 if you are using Windows 8.1.
To ensure your game runs smoothly, close all other running programs and apps on your PC before starting your game.
To have the best display settings, set your PC to the Optimum resolution. To set your PC to the optimum resolution, follow the steps below.
Note: If you would like a higher resolution than your laptop display can output, you can attach an External Monitor. To attach an external monitor, follow the next step.
Not all laptops have a full 1980 x 1080 HD Resolution. If you would like a full HD resolution, you can attach an external monitor. To connect an external display with an HDMI or HDMI-to-DVI cable, follow the steps below.
Note: If you use an HDMI-to-DVI cable, you must connect an audio cable from the notebook to the external display to receive audio on the external display.
To ensure your game can be viewed and heard correctly, make sure your Graphics and Sound drivers are properly installed. To install your drivers, follow the steps below.
For a more immersive gameplay experience, you may choose to attach an external input device. Wheels, gamepads, flightsticks, joysticks, etc. can be purchased from most electronics stores or online electronics retailers. Most external input devices are Plug & Play, meaning you only need to plug them into the USB port and they will connect themselves.
