the power cord is not plugged in before performing the steps below.
Ground (Green with Yellow Stripe or Solid Green) wire must be in the position illustrated below.
Feed the power cord in through
the strain relief and the out through the power block access opening.
Remove the 3 screws on
the power block terminals.
Using the 3 screws that
were removed on the previous step, attach the Red and Black
wires to the left and right terminals and the White (Neutral) wire
to the center terminal. The Red and Black wires (aka Hot wires),
each deliver 120 volts to the unit.
the wires are not color coordinated, they will be lined up to match
the terminals. Align them accordingly.
If only one Hot wire
is connected, the unit is only receiving 120V and will not operate
The dryer is grounded to the neutral conductor
at the terminal block.
and Back (Hot ) wires can
be on either the left or right terminal. As long as the White (Neutral)
wire on the center terminal and both the left and right terminals
are receiving 120V each, the power cord is corrected properly.
