Photo Editor

The Photo editor application provides basic editing functions for pictures that you take with your mobile device. Along with basic image tuning like brightness, contrast, and color, it also provides a wide variety of picture editing effects.

Access the Photo Editor

1. From the Home screen, press Applications > Photo editor .
2. Touch Select pictures to edit a photo in your Gallery.

   or

3. Touch Capture picture to launch the camera and take a new photo to edit.

   

The Photo Editor Screen

Using the Photo Editor Controls to Edit your Photos

• Selection Size: Touch to set the size of the selection tool to Small, Medium, or Large.

  

• Selection: Touch the selection tool to mark an area for cropping, rotating, adding effects and color, etc.

  

• Crop: Touch the crop tool to crop (cut-out) an area of a photo.

  

Within the crop selection screen:

• Touch and drag the arrows to increase or decrease the crop area.



• Touch and drag within the orange box to move the crop selection tool.



• Touch Done to save your crop selection, or touch Cancel to return to the photo editing screen without saving

• Rotate: Touch the Rotate tool to rotate a photo in all 4 directions. You can also mirror image a photo.

  

  • Within the rotate screen, select one of the rotate tools to modify the photo.

  

  • Touch Done to save the phone, or touch Cancel to return to the photo editing screen without saving

• Move: Touch the Move tool to move a photo around when zoomed in and the entire photo does not show on the screen.

  

• Tools: Used with the Selection tool, you can Copy and Paste the selection to a different image or to the original image. You can also apply warp and fill effects to the selected area.

  

• Effect: Touch the Effect tool to Blur, to add Ghost and Speed line effects to the entire photo. You may also use the Effect tools with selected areas.

  

• Color: allows you to adjust the Saturation, Contrast, and Brightness of a photo. You can change the photo to Greyscale. You may also use the Color tools with selected areas.

  

• Undo: Touch Undo to undo previews changes.

  

• Redo: Touch Redo to reapply previously undone changes.

  

Photo Editor Options

1. Within the Photo Editor, press Menu  to access the following options:



• New: Starts a new Photo editor project. Be sure and save the photo you are working on before starting a new project.
• Save: Saves your photo to your gallery
• Share: Allows you to share your photo via AllShare, Bluetooth, Email, Facebook, Gmail, Messaging, Picasa, or Wi-Fi
