STEP 1. Connecting The DVD Recorder
No title
Before
you can connect your DVD recorder to your DVR box, you must connect your
DVR box to a cable jack and to the TV as instructed in the user's manual of
your DVR.
After you have a cable or satellite signal connected to your DVR box, and
your DVR box is connected to your TV, you can begin.
To connect your DVD
recorder to your DVR box, follow these steps:
- With
the TV, DVR box, and DVD recorder off, connect an RCA cable from the audio
video out on the DVR box to the AV
In
on the back of the DVD recorder.
- Next
you will need to connect a RCA, component, S-video, or HDMI cable from the
output of the DVD player to the input on the TV.
Note:
You can use RCA, component, S-Video, or HDMI for Step 2. The
connection you choose will not affect your ability to record. This
connection will only affect the quality of the signal the DVD player sends
to the TV, so choose which one is best for you. In the diagram below
the connection used for Step 2 is an RCA cable.
