The Samsung Trade-In Buy One Get One Promotion allows customers purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ to trade in an eligible device and receive an instant trade-in credit toward the purchase of a second device, either a Galaxy S8 or S8+. The second device must be on the same carrier as the device purchased at full retail price.  If the second device is a Galaxy S8, the trade-in credit will be equal to the full retail cost of the second device, so that the actual purchase price of the GS8 (excluding taxes and shipping and other fees) will be $0.  If the second device is a Galaxy S8+, the trade-In credit will be equal to the full retail cost of the second device minus $100, so that the actual purchase price of the GS8+ (excluding taxes and shipping and other fees) will be $100.  Click here for the Samsung Trade-In Buy One Get One Program Terms and Conditions. What devices can I trade in? How much will I get for it?
Eligible devices are Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, S7, S7 Edge and iPhone 6S, 6S Plus,7 and 7 Plus. To get a credit for your trade-in, you must also complete a qualifying purchase of a GS8 or GS8+ as described above.  The credit may then be applied toward the purchase price of a second Galaxy S8 or S8+.  If the second device is a Galaxy S8, the trade-in credit will be equal to the full retail cost of that second device (excluding taxes and shipping and other fees).  If the second device is a Galaxy S8+, the trade-In credit will be equal to the full retail cost of the second device (excluding taxes and shipping and other fees) minus $100. The device I’m trading in is the one I currently use.  Can I still trade it in?
Yes!  When you complete your order, Samsung will ship you your new Galaxy S8 or S8+ devices, so that you can activate them and transfer your data, contacts, etc. before you ship your current device back to us.  You can transfer your information from the old device to your new one using Samsung Cloud, a data cable, or any of the other methods described in the documentation that accompanies your new device.  Please note that you will need to ship the device being traded in back to us within 15 days of the date on which you receive your new devices, or your credit card or other form of payment that you used to purchase the new devices will be charged for the amount we gave to you as a trade-in credit toward your second Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ (either the full retail price of the second GS8, or the full retail price of the second GS8+ minus the $100 that you already paid). The device I’m trading in is one that I bought using an equal payment or other financing plan, and I still have payments left on it.  Can I still trade it in?
Yes – however, please note that all remaining payments on the device you’re trading in are your responsibility.  You may also be subject to additional fees.  Check with your current carrier for details. What condition does my device have to be in in order for me to trade it in
Your trade-in device must be in a good condition. Samsung will determine, in its sole judgement, whether your Qualifying Trade-In Device is in good condition. A Qualifying Trade-In Device is in “good condition” if it: ·       Powers on and holds a charge; ·       Has a functioning display; ·       Has no breaks or cracks or other visible defects that go beyond normal wear and tear; AND ·       Is not on a black list of any kind; In addition to being in “good condition”, your qualifying Trade-In Device must satisfy the following additional requirements: ·       Has Reactivation Lock, Google Factory Reset Protection, or any other anti-theft locking software disabled; AND ·       You must have performed a factory reset and removed all personal information from the device What if Samsung determines that my device does not meet the minimum conditions or that my device is not an eligible device for this promotion? We will evaluate your device when we receive it, and if it does not meet the conditions described above, or if it is a device that is not eligible for trade in under this promotion then Samsung will value it at twenty five dollars ($25.00) and charge you the trade-In credit that was applied to the purchase of the second device minus the twenty-five dollar ($25.00) value (“Device Condition or Ineligible Device Charge”).  If the second device purchased was an S8, the Device Condition or Ineligible Device Charge will be the full retail price of the second device minus $25.00, and if the second device was an S8+, the Device Condition or Ineligible Device Charge will be the full retail price of the Second Device less the $100 previously paid and minus $25.00.Please note that your old device cannot be returned to you. Trading in Your Device When I ship back to Samsung the device I’m trading in, should I send the charger, case or other accessories with the device?
No – you should only ship the device back to Samsung, and if you no longer need them, discard the other accessories in accordance with your local trash and recycling regulations.  No trade in value is offered on anything other than the device, and if you do ship accessories back with the device, those accessories will not be returned.  How do I remove all of the personal information on my device before I trade it in?
Refer to the user manual or support page on Samsung’s website for how to do a factory reset on your current device, prior to shipping it back to Samsung.  In addition, make sure that you remove all passwords, locks, SIM cards and memory cards before sending the device to Samsung.  If these items are sent with your device, they will not be returned.  Please note that Samsung assumes no responsibility for any personal information you leave on your device when you ship it back to Samsung as a trade in. What happens to my device once I send it back to Samsung?
You will receive an email from Samsung when your device has been received and evaluated; as long as the device meets the criteria described above, you don’t need to do anything else.  What if I lost or threw out the shipping label that was sent to me for my trade in?
If you have lost or discarded the shipping label, please log into your Samsung account and reprint the label from your My Orders page. If you require additional assistance please contact us at 855-726-8721. What if I decide that I want my old device back after I send it to Samsung?
When you ship your old device to us, you are transferring ownership of it to Samsung and it cannot be returned to you for any reason. What if I change my mind about the trade-in before I ship it to Samsung?
If you decide after you make your purchase that you don’t want to trade in your old device, you don’t need to do anything.  Approximately 15 days after the date on which you receive your new Galaxy smartphones, you will be charged the full retail price if the second device was an S8 and if the second device was an S8+, then you will be charged the full retail price less the $100 previously paid and this charge will be done using the same payment method that you used when you completed your initial order with us. If you do not have sufficient credit available on the credit card or other account you used when you placed your order, Samsung will contact you and you must provide an alternate payment method. Can I return my new device if I decide to do that?
We’re sure you’ll love your new Galaxy Smartphones but, just in case, our normal return policy generally applies with certain exceptions.  In order to return your devices obtained through this Trade-In Buy One Get One Free Promotion, you must return both new Galaxy devices in their unopened boxes.  If you only return one new Galaxy device but not the second Galaxy device, you will not qualify for a return or refund of either device.  Further, in the case of in-person purchases made at Samsung Galaxy Studios, both the Qualifying Purchase and the Second Device must be returned together in-person at the Samsung Galaxy Studio from which they were purchased within 30 days of such purchases. Notwithstanding anything in the Samsung Returns and Refunds Policy to the contrary or the Samsung Galaxy Studios return/refund policy to the contrary, both devices must be returned unopened in order to receive a refund on either device and proof of purchase will be required to issue a refund.  What if I have other questions?
