Rated 5 out of 5 by The Standard for Televisions There's little doubt that Samsung, an international electronics hero continues to establish itself as the standard as to how televisions are to be made. The 65" TV has a beautiful picture, crystal clear viewing and a sound that shakes the room. The only Kryptonite is the handheld remote which, while sleek and small and uncluttered by tons of buttons, has a hard time understanding voice commands, making it a little frustrating and delays the changing of the channel. I prefer using the keyboard that came with the TV. I love this beast of a TV and I highly recommend its purchase. May 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Keeps rebooting, Apps keeps crashing, remote stops controlling TV We got a lemon, it seems. The TV keeps rebooting when watching TV. The apps crash, either when opening, or when watching streams. Remote stops controlling the TV. Had the PCB replaced recently. The PCB is about to be replaced again. Apps and menus are SLOW. Glad we got a 4 year extended warranty. I have only had the TV 7 months. Seems the TV is underpowered. July 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Picture, poor software features The TV picture is awesome. Bright, sharp and was fairly easy to set up. I like the many features and controllability of the TV, sound, inputs/outputs and 3D. As a TV the performance is Excellent. It does tend to get fairly hot around the outside edges but I'm thinking that might be by design (heat dissipation design). However the software functions has something to be desired. Software seem clunky and have bugs. Understand that this is a TV and not a computer, but while trying to use the different functions (i.e. Pandora, YouTube, Internet Browser, etc.) they have suddenly closed or stop working and on several occasions the TV has lock up, screen freezes and absolutely no functionality. I've had to physically unplug power from the TV in order to get it working. Typically I don't use my TV other than to watch movies and television so it hasn't been a big issue for me but the software certainly hasn't given me any reason to start. I get the feeling Samsung simply had their summer intern programmers try to add features to the TV. It would be nice to pipe Pandora through my surround sound system via the TV but it repeatedly drops connection or freezes. Because of this I've rated the Features as Poor. I had to contact Samsung support one time. I was on hold for about 15 minutes (which seems reasonable to me) before I was talking with a tech. I liked the feature of having the tech support person being able to log into my TV to diagnose problems. It was very simple to do and it took all of about 1 minute for them to correct my issue (root cause was that the documentation or on-screen prompts weren't clear to me on what needed to be set). Overall, this TV is great. Very pleased with the picture and quality. I hope that Samsung commits more resources to improving the other features and improving the software. May 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great picture and features I really like this tv, i have a great deal on it but sometimes does not work as expected and you need to unpluged and plug and most of the times the problem is fix. the remote sometimes get out of program by itself, or is really slow when you press a channel to change or it will change to a different channel because does not get the rest of the numbers you have been pressing. other than that, great picture, sound and features.
