JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 26 August, 2015 – Samsung Electronics South Africa is excited to announce Samsung Galaxy Rewards – a unique loyalty app for Samsung Galaxy smartphone users. Samsung Galaxy Rewards gives consumers access to a wide variety of prizes based on the amount of interaction users have with the brand through the application.

Over the years, Samsung has brought a host of individual value-added services to its customers, including Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) Premium and Core as well as the Always On service. The technology giant is now taking its commitment to customer experience one step further with Samsung Galaxy Rewards. The unique programme allows Galaxy smartphone users to earn points – the more they earn the bigger rewards they can claim. Prizes are divided into different tiers based on the number of points an individual user accumulates.


Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can start earning points straight away by simply downloading the app from the Google play store. Once points have been accumulated, users can burn them on everyday items or bank them to claim luxury big ticket items.


To download the app and start earning points today:


  • 1)  Go to the Google play store, search for "Samsung Rewards" and download the app to the Samsung Galaxy Smartphone;
  • 2)  The customer's Google account will be synced to the app to automatically log points;
  • 3)  Users receive points for logging in daily;
  • 4)  Users will have the opportunity to participate in various activities to earn points; and
  • 5)  Points can then be redeemed for rewards.
