Description of Samsung Premium:

Samsung Premium, which is Samsung's Accidental Damage from Handling service for premium devices, is a world first from a device manufacturer point of view. Samsung Premium will be offered on the Samsung GALAXY NOTE 3 tablet, however more Samsung Smart Devices will follow and will be eligible for the Samsung Premium customer benefit in future.

Samsung Premium will be incorporated into the existing Samsung 24-month standard factory warranty on the GALAXY NOTE 3 and will protect your device from accidental damage during normal use. It will cover screen repairs and liquid damage repairs to your device that is damaged within the Samsung 24 month warranty period. Each GALAXY NOTE 3 is allowed 2 incidents per 24-month period:
1 Screen repair and 1 liquid damage repair OR 2 screen repairs OR 2 liquid damage repairs.

Should both a liquid damage and screen damage incident occur as your first incident and at the same time, this will constitute both the first and the second incident within the 24 month warranty period and your Samsung Premium cover will cease.

If the second incident is both a screen damage and a liquid damage at the same time, then the Samsung Premium repair will be provided to the ‘greater of’ damage, be it liquid damage or screen damage and the ‘lesser of’ damage will be for the account of the Samsung GALAXY NOTE 3 device owner.

Note that there is no Samsung Premium cost to the owner of the Samsung GALAXY NOTE 3 and no incident fee is payable upon the incident.

Samsung Smart Swap - a world first at manufacturer level, this benefit provides a GALAXY NOTE 3 device owner with the ability to receive loan GALAXY NOTE 3 device until such time as the consumer's unit is repaired under normal Accidental Damage from Handling services.
(Note: 2 'instant swap outs' per Samsung Premium Incident over 24 months)

Samsung Smart Pick-Up is available to any GALAXY NOTE 3 device owner who is enjoying the innovative benefit of Samsung Premium (Note: All South African GALAXY NOTE 3 devices have ‘the Samsung Premium’ benefit).

This enhancement to the Accidental Damage from Handling service provides the GALAXY NOTE 3 Device owner with the collection of the damaged Device and the subsequent delivery of the replacement GALAXY NOTE 3 Device in the event of a Samsung Premium incident (note: 24 hour delivery in all major centres in South Africa only)

The GALAXY NOTE 3 device owner can choose to repair and not replace their device and still make use of the Smart Pick Up service (Courier)

Smart Value provides the GALAXY NOTE 3 device owners with a ‘guaranteed future buyback (GFB)’ for their device at a rate of 25% buyback from 0 to 12 months (calculated against the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) at the date of device purchase).

Once an existing GALAXY NOTE 3 device has been ’Smart Valued’ and ‘Traded In’ for a new Samsung Premium Device before/on month 12, the balance of the Samsung Premium Benefit is ‘carried over’ into the new Samsung Premium Benefit Term (24 months)
