How does ERV work?
Samsung's ERV systems are ventilation solutions that improve indoor air quality and temperature by exchanging stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air, while recovering the energy from the outgoing air. This is done using a heat exchanger that transfers heat and exchanges moisture from outgoing air to precondition incoming air.
ERV systems provide a consistent flow of fresh air, creating a pleasant and refreshing atmosphere for occupants. Our ERV Plus units can even be connected to a Samsung VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system to form a complete climate control solution.
Key features of ERV systems
Improved indoor air quality
An optional CO₂ sensor allows the ERV to detect CO₂ levels and automatically send fresh air into a room. Maintaining the desired indoor humidity level can be accomplished with an optional humidifier kit, which balances moisture levels effectively.
Self-cleaning
The ERV’s self-cleaning function sprays water from the top of the device upon operation, partially preventing offensive odours caused by particle accumulation.
SmartThings compatible
By adding the optional Wi-Fi kit, you can turn your ERV system into a smart one. Using our SmartThings app1 gives you even more control of and insight into your unit’s functions and performance.
As much airflow as you need
With a variety of capacities when it comes to airflow rate, there’s bound to be an ERV system that works for your commercial or industrial space. Our units’ airflow ranges from 260m3 per hour to 1000 m3 per hour.
Quiet Mode
The ERV indoor unit features a Quiet Mode that operates discretely, creating minimal noise2. This allows for more flexibility in terms of installation locations, as it can even be placed near areas where occupants usually sleep, relax or concentrate.
