Why does my LED TV operate at 50Hz, despite the specifications of 100Hz?

Last Update Date : 2018-04-09

When the television is set to 100Hz, all sources will automatically be displayed at 100Hz. However, some source signals, such as Satellite receivers and Set-Top boxes etc, only output a 50Hz signal as this is the standard broadcast refresh rate in Europe.

Press the INFO button on the Samsung remote control to see what the source signal refresh rate you are currently viewing is.

NOTE: This is only an indication of the incoming signal and NOT an indication of the screen refresh rate.

If using Set-Top box or satellite receiver connection, we would recommend contacting its provider for more information on the output of their equipment.
