The holidays are here guys!! We could almost swear that it was January 3 days ago but we are not complaining. It’s amusing how we have certain “rituals” during the festive season that only we can understand. From mum’s chapos, to going upcountry and how can we forget buying a whole new outfit. There are those who are fortunate enough to travel abroad and give us FOMO for days and since there are numerous articles about holiday checklists on what is needed for long distance journeys, we are here to cater to those who will stay home.
So here’s a list of a few things you shall need if you will be at home for the holidays.
1. A COMFORTABLE COUCH & BLANKIE:
You probably have this already and it an essential since you shall spend 99% of your days on it. It is crucial that the cushions are soft, we don’t need to usher in the new year with backaches. With the couch, you shall also need a blankie. It shall be your trusted companion for this season, it shall keep you snug and warm doing those movie marathons and chilly nights.
2. SNACKS, LOTS AND LOTS OF SNACKS (ALL WITHIN ARM’S REACH):
Because who needs to keep getting up from the comfy sofa to grab something to eat? The goal here is to minimise movement unless it is very necessary. You shall need all your favourite snacks and drinks that will keep you nourished and keep your sugar levels highs. You shall need to stay well fed to survive the binge watching that you shall indulge in.
3. MOVIES, SERIES, DOCUMENTARIES (WHATEVER TICKLES YUR FANCY)
These will be the epicentre of your holiday. All those movies and series that you were not able to watch and had to deal with spoilers, this is your chance to catch up. This is your chance to finally understand all those memes that passed you because you hadn’t watched a particular series or movie. Go forth and binge watch to your heart’s desire. You deserve it.
4. A FULLY CHARGED SAMSUNG MOBILE PHONE:
Last, but most definitely least, you will need a fully charged Samsung device that will keep you in the loop of what is going on in the outside world. You will need to send those festive season messages, stalk all your friends to see what they are up to and on that rare occasion post a selfie just to assure people that you are still alive. When those family gatherings come around, you will need to take clear and crisp photos and videos for memory’s sake.
Now that you have this list in hand you can properly enjoy your holidays. There may be a few more things you could add but these 4 should be the pillars ☺. Whatever you will be up to, remember to have fun because January’s coming!
