I upgraded my device to Android Kitkat OS, I can’t modify the files in external SD card

Last Update Date : Apr 20. 2018

After upgrading my device to the Android Kitkat OS, I can’t modify the files in external SD card

using 3rd party applications such as Astro.  What’s the problem?

It’s not faulty but normal Google policy.

Google prohibits to modify(Write/ Delete/ Rename) the files in external SD card using 3’rd party applications

     from Android Kitkat OS.

Besides, due to reason of same Google Policy , you may can’t write or delete the files through some

downloaded application from Samsung Apps .

To modify the files, I recommend you to use the My files application that have been preloaded on your device.

※ How to modify the file using My files

   1. In Samsung folder of Apps, select My files.

   2. Choose the file what you want to modify.

   3. Touch and Hold the file, and then select Menu button.

   4. You can see the options.(Move/ Copy/ Rename/Zip)
