OMNIA has motion sensor to sense device’s rotating movement

Last Update Date : Apr 20. 2018

This guide will show you how the motion sensor on the Samsung Omnia works.

With this sensor , OMNIA’s screen can be changed along with device’s position

Vertical position : The screen is changed to Portrait.

Horizon position : The screen is changed to Landscape.

      ※ Note

When the device is dim or locked, the motion sensor does not work. This is because Samsung designed the motion sensor does not have to rotate the screen if a user cannot see it. However, Samsung development team is considering changing this idea, because there were some customers’ complaints about inconvenience of not using the motion sensor at dimming or locked condition. Thus, Samsung will try to change the motion sensor to work all the time.
