The Picture On My DLP TV Has Snow Or Ghosts. How Can I Correct This?
If DLP TV picture has snow, ghosts, dots, or white noise, it usually means that you are getting a weak signal. To reduce the snow and other picture distortions caused by a weak signal, first make sure that the cables connecting your TV to your video sources (outdoor antenna, cable TV jack, etc.) are firmly connected. If the cables are firmly connected, try turning on your TV's Digital Noise Reduction (Digital NR or DNR) function.
To activate the Digital Noise Reduction feature, follow these steps:
Turn on your DLP TV on.
Press the Menu button on your remote control. The Main menu appears.
Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select Picture, and then press the Enter button. The Picture menu appears.
Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select Digital NR, and then press the Enter button. The choice of Off and On appears.
Press the Up or Down arrow button on your remote to select On, and then press the Enter button.
Press the Exit button to exit.
Note: The procedure above works for most Samsung DLP TVs. It may not work for yours. For precise instructions on turning on the Digital Noise Reduction feature on your TV, see your user's manual.
