Samsung Transforms the Modern Meeting with New Interactive Digital Flip Chart

Samsung Fl!p now available in Australia, encouraging collaboration, creativity and connectivity in the office

Samsung Electronics Australia has today announced the local availability of Samsung Fl!p, a new interactive flip chart enabling employees to collaborate and work efficiently together. The release of Fl!p in Australia forms part of Samsung's long-term vision for developing interactive workplaces of the future.

"We believe Samsung Fl!p will further promote digital collaboration within businesses in Australia. Its ease of use will drive impactful and efficiency in workshops and meetings through an easy-to-use interface and flexible connectivity," said Claudio Cardile, Head of Professional Display Solutions, Samsung Electronics Australia.

"Fl!p illustrates Samsung's vision for workplaces, alleviating some of the challenges businesses face when organising, facilitating and recapping meetings, helping them work and collaborate faster, better and smarter."

Collaboration

Samsung Fl!p offers multi-user engagement, meaning everyone in the meeting can be heard, and all ideas are captured. Up to four users can write directly on the screen at the same time using either their fingers or one of the two provided dual-sided pens. Each can customise his or her own writing style, size and colour, with each notation made clear and visible in UHD resolution.

For added ease of use, Samsung Fl!p also offers extensive device compatibility through wireless connectivity, USB, PC and mobile ports. An integrated screen-sharing function makes Fl!p content available on connected PCs, compatible smartphones and tablets with minimal interruption.

Users can also import content from a compatible personal device onto the display's screen to introduce fresh ideas to the discussion.

Creativity

Samsung Fl!p delivers an outstanding level of efficiency by condensing the multiple tools and processes required for some traditional meetings into an all-in-one design. Participants do not need a specialised touch pen to interact with the screen and can erase notes through a quick palm swipe.

Fl!p users can access up to 20 pages of writing space per document, with embedded search functionalities that can direct users to specific content. This continuous, rolling stream is designed to avoid the lost time and interruptions that often result as meeting participants search through multiple sheets of paper or lines of notes to locate a specific detail.

Each Fl!p display can be rotated to portrait or landscape orientations to suit meeting needs. Coupled with its pivot stand¹, the Fl!p maximises available writing space at users' preferred positions. Should a meeting require more centralised, roundtable-style discussion, users can connect the Fl!p display to a compatible wall mount.

Connectivity

Post-meeting recaps and transcriptions can be a drain on resources, so the Samsung Fl!p stores content within a central database to facilitate easy sharing. A password-based protection system is designed to safeguard meeting details and ensure that only approved users can access the information.

Once logged in, meeting facilitators and participants can download and share featured content through email or traditional printing. Users can also save meeting notes to a USB drive or other compatible external sources.

Samsung Fl!p will be available for purchase from Samsung Professional Display distributors and resellers.
