SYDNEY, Australia – 27 July 2018:  Samsung Electronics Australia has today announced its latest evolution in home audio excellence with the Australian launch of the N950 and N850 soundbars. Engineered at Samsung’s LA-based Audio Lab, the range breaks new ground for the brand’s offering by delivering 7.1.4 and 5.1.2 cinematic sound (respectively) from a simple soundbar solution.

The N950 and N850 soundbars deliver the pinnacle in audio quality from Samsung and are designed for people seeking the ultimate immersion when enjoying home cinema, television, and music. In addition to being priced for accessibility in the premium audio range. Hass Mahdi, Head of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia says, “Australians are increasingly looking to soundbars to complete their home entertainment set-up and we are seeing greater demand for products that deliver a rich and immersive audio to support the TV viewing experience.”

“The N950 and N850 are defining products for Samsung and a testament to our deep commitment to deliver products that break new ground for our offering and give Australians an incredible experience,” Mahdi added.

The N950 and N850 range combines multiple built-in speakers – 17 and 13 speakers respectively – supported by dedicated amplifiers, including upward and side-firing speakers which are placed on each end of the product, wireless rear speakers1 and wide range tweeter.

It also supports both of the latest surround sound formats Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X, as well as 4K pass-through and 32-bit sound upscaling, allowing the room to become wrapped in sound, just as the movie’s directors or producers intended.

Following Samsung’s approach to making the set-up of its products a smooth and easy process, the out-of-the-box installation is designed to be simple and intuitive for both wired or wireless connections. The soundbars can also be controlled from Samsung TV’s latest One Remote2 to reduce the need to use multiple remotes in the living room.

Users can access the Samsung N950 and N850 via Samsung’s SmartThings app on their compatible smartphone.

The N950 and N850 will be available at select retailers from mid-August.
