Calibration Mode on Samsung Washing Machines

Last modified : Mar 27. 2019

Samsung washing machines are able to detect the weight of a laundry load automatically. This will help optimise the energy efficacy of the washing machine and reduce the chance of using too much water. To make sure the washing machine is optimised for load detection, run Calibration Mode. Not all washing machines will require this step. It's best to run Calibration Mode as soon as you've installed the washing machine.

Below is two options to run Calibration Mode depending on which washer you have.

Initialise Calibration Mode on Samsung Washers:

  1. Remove laundry or any contents in the machine.
  2. Press Temp. and Delay End simultaneously for at least 3 seconds when the power is turned on.
  3. Press START/PAUSE to activate Calibration Mode.
  4. The pulsator rotates clockwise and counterclockwise approximately 1 minute.
  5. When Calibration Mode is finished, “0” appears on the display, and the washer automatically turns off. The washer is now ready for use.
