Installing the Virtual Guard for POWERbot Robot Vac.

Last Update date : Oct 20. 2020
Samsung POWERbot Vacuum

The Samsung POWERbot vacuum uses the Visionary Mapping Plus System which finds the optimal route for fast-track cleaning but uses the Virtual Guard to restrict your POWERbot Vacuum from approaching certain areas by using an infrared ray.

To start using the Virtual Guard you will first need to turn on the device by depressing the power button located on the top.

Once the Virtual Guard has been turned on, place it where you want to restrict your POWERbot Vacuum from entering. Make sure that the distance sensor is facing the direction you want to create the invisible barrier.

The distance of the virtual wall is 2.5 m at a minimum and may differ depending on the surroundings and movement status of your POWERbot Vacuum.

If you find that your POWERbot Vacuum passes through the Virtual Guard, please ensure that there is nothing obstructing the distance detection sensor and that the Virtual Guard is turned on. If the power indicator on top of the Virtual Guard is off, ensure the power button on top of the device is in the ‘off’ position and then simply push the power button to the ‘on’ position.

If the power indicator of the Virtual Guard is off but the power button is in the ‘on’ position, then you may need to replace the batteries in your Virtual Guard.
